Air Quality Policy

At Jordan Softball our primary concern is the health and safety of our players and our volunteers.

Jordan Softball will follow the guidance of local, provincial, and national environmental and public health officials in situations where local air quality is forecast to create risky conditions for outdoor activities.

Local forecasts produced by the Ontario Ministry of Environment, Conservation and Parks and Environment Canada will be used to evaluate air quality when necessary. Relevant guidance from Softball Ontario and other governing bodies, as well as other local sports leagues, will also be considered.

Any decisions to cancel games due to air quality will be made as early as possible in a day and will be communicated by email and by posting a notice on our website. Cancellations will be evaluated on a day-by-day basis.
