About Jordan Lions Softball

Jordan Lions Minor Softball Association

Jordan Lions Minor Softball Association (JLMSA) is a minor league summer softball club located in Jordan, Ontario. Established in 1970, JLMSA has six Divisions: T-Ball (ages 5-6), 5 Pitch (ages 7-8), Squirt (ages 9-11), PeeWee (ages 12-14), Junior Bantam (ages 15-18), and Senior Bantam (ages 19+). All games are played at Jordan Lions Park.

Our Goal

Our goal is to instill in all players, coaches, and parents associated with the JLMSA good sportsmanship, correct and proper behaviour on and off the field, respect for authority and team play, and a love for the game.

Volunteers

We could not operate without the tireless support of many parent volunteers: coaches, scorekeepers, convenors, schedulers, and executive members.

We need 40 to 50 coaches and assistant coaches every year! Without these parent volunteers we cannot run our teams! This is also a great opportunity for high school students to complete their volunteer hours! Please volunteer to help!!

If coaching is not your strength, we are always in need of volunteers for other roles! Volunteering is a great way to help make an amazing program possible for our kids! Please take a look at our list of Executives to see the open positions. If you would like to help or even just learn more about any open positions, please contact the president at president@jordanlionssoftball.com.

Sponsors

Each team is sponsored by and named after a local business or community organization. Sponsoring a team is a great way to gain exposure for your business and support a great program for our kids. If you’ve ever considered sponsoring a team, we’d love to talk to you! Please visit our sponsorship page or contact our sponsorship coordinator for more information about sponsoring a team.

Umpires

We provide paid employment and development opportunities for umpires and aspiring umpires. There are always opportunities for new umpires to join our team. The pay rate is good and there is a graduated pay scale based on your experience and training level. You must be at least 13 years old, or turning 13 in the current year, to become an umpire. Training can be provided for new umpires. Please contact our Umpire-in-Chief for more information about becoming an umpire.
