2026 Key Dates and MANDATORY U10-U18 Player evaluation information

Hello Jordan softball families,

This week kicks off our 2026 softball season! This page contains important dates and information for ALL divisions. Please read to ensure you know when and where to be!

Here are key dates to know for each division:

START DATES FOR EACH DIVISION

U6 (T-Ball) - Wednesdays

• first practice/game will be Wednesday May 27

U8 (5 Pitch) - Tuesdays

• practice (all teams) on Tuesday, May 19
• first games will be Tuesday, May 26

U10 - Wednesdays

• Evaluations TOMORROW, MONDAY May 11, 6:30pm - MANDATORY
• Practice (all teams) Wednesday, May 20
• First games will be Wednesday, May 27

U12 - Thursdays

• Evaluations THIS TUESDAY May 12, 6:30pm - MANDATORY
• Practice (all teams) Thursday, May 21
• First games will be Thursday, May 28

U14 - Mondays/Tuesdays

• Evaluations THIS WEDNESDAY May 13, 6:30pm - MANDATORY
• Practice (all teams) Tuesday, May 19
• First games will be Monday, May 25 and Tuesday May 26

U18 - Tues/Wed/Thu

• Evaluations all week @ 8:30pm - MANDATORY
  
  • Tues: Last names from A-Ki
  • Wed: Last names from KL-Ra
  • Thu: Last names from Re-Z
• Practices and games starting Tuesday May 19 @ 8:30pm
• each team will play TWO games per week

IF YOU CANNOT ATTEND YOUR SCHEDULED EVALUATION DATES:

• U10/12/14 - please attend one of the other nights and let the coaches know which age group you are from
• U18 - please attend one of the other nights
• IF YOU CANNOT ATTEND ANY please contact president@jordanlionssoftball.com

EVALUATION RAIN DATE:

• In case of rain, we will move any rained-out evaluations to THURSDAY May 14, 6:30pm

TEAM ASSIGNMENTS

Players will hear directly from their coaches and/or convenors about their team assignments. If you have not heard from your coach by Monday May 18 please contact president@jordanlionssoftball.com.

REMINDER ABOUT EQUIPMENT

• ALL PLAYERS must provide their own BALL GLOVE and BATTING HELMET
• All other equipment (bats, balls, catcher equipment) is provided to each team
• Shoes MUST be closed toed - NO sandals/crocs

GAME SCHEDULES

These are being finalized and will be posted to our website very soon!

ALL COACHES MEETING (U8-U14)

A meeting of all coaches for U8 through U14 will be held on TUESDAY MAY 19 @ 6:00 PM before the practices begin. AT LEAST ONE COACH FROM EVERY TEAM should attend. This meeting will be to review the rules with our chief umpire and ask any questions, to avoid confusion during the season. As well, Coaches can pick up their equipment bags this night. 

U18 - Neal will review the rules with you

U6 (T-ball) - no need to attend as U6 games are not umpired

TEAM EQUIPMENT BAGS

Coaches can pick up their equipment bags at the coaches' meeting on Tuesday May 19, or also on Wed May 20 and Thu May 21 before the games.

U-6 (T-Ball) coaches will be able pick up their equipment bags on Wed May 27

PHOTO DAY

This year our team photos are scheduled for Monday June 8 and Tuesday June 9, rain or shine! (If rain, photos will be inside the arena). Each team will be scheduled for a 10-minute timeslot on one of these two days between 6pm - 8:30pm. All players will receive a complementary 8x10 print which includes an individual photo and a team photo. Additional photos can be purchased from the photographer if desired. More info will be shared soon.
